Listed in the collection as 'Janma Raj', this seated deity is shown before a tall openwork flame aureole, a motif that in Himalayan art surrounds protective and wrathful-aspect figures. The figure wears a crown and jewellery, holds attributes in both hands and sits on a lotus cushion set on a stepped rectangular base. The figure appears to be gilt, with the aureole in a darker, silver-toned metal. Height 47 cm.
